Landscape in St. Matthews/Louisville, KY

May 24, 2024

This customer was looking for a total landscape redesign. Kyle and our team made it come to life! They also needed a solution for the side of the house where the grade created a pretty significant decline – and rock was the answer! Mulch and rock can complement any space – they don’t have to be exclusive. Grade “A” cedar mulch, new beautiful flowers and shrubs in the front, oversized gravel along the side of the house, to the back landscape created a stunning picture! It’s safe to say that all the residents were excited about this new look!

Fall is a great time of year to plant trees and shrubs in the Louisville area. The major heat of summer is gone, but the soil temperatures are still warm. This gives two benefits to your newly planted tree or shrub - cooler weather is easier on new plant installation while the warm soil still encourages strong root growth.

Your lawn care shouldn't stop at the end of the summer. Fall and winter are critical times for your lawn's overall health and root development.

At WLS, we believe every home deserves to shine and the landscape is an integral part of showcasing your home's natural beauty. Recently, we worked on a property for our long-time customer in Highview, KY where the front shrubs and trees had become overgrown and were hiding the home’s features. The challenge for this particular property included overgrown shrubs blocking walkways and windows, extra foliage crowding the foundation beds, and a general need for reshaping and refreshing the landscape.
