Why you need to schedule leaf clean up sooner rather than later

November 24, 2025

Leaf clean up can seem like a constant struggle in the fall. Falling leaves can quickly accumulate, creating an unsightly and potentially hazardous layer on your lawn. There are also many issues that excess leaves can create for your lawn if you don’t clean up your leaves.

Here are some of the top reasons why you need to make leaf clean up a priority throughout the season - and definitely not leave them all winter:

  1. Prevent Lawn Damage: Leaves smother the grass, block sunlight, and trap moisture. This can lead to dead patches and disease.
  2. Avoid Pests: Piled-up leaves create a perfect hiding spot for pests like rodents and insects.
  3. Boost Curb Appeal: A clean yard enhances the overall look of your home - especially during the fall and winter.
  4. Prevent Safety Hazards: Wet leaves create slippery surfaces. If you’ve got leaves on your sidewalks and driveway that are wet, you’re risking potentially injuring yourself or guests of your home.

We’re equipped with professional equipment including our vacuum truck that allows us to quickly complete your leaf clean up saving you money.

We recommend completing at least 2 leaf clean ups a season. This makes each visit more manageable in terms of the time required for service and keeps your property looking its best throughout the season. We offer service at whatever frequency fits your needs.

This customer in Glenmary called us to clean up their landscape beds and replace their outdated landscape lighting system. After a 1-1 on-site consultation, Kyle created a custom landscape and lighting design for their home. We use CAST lighting fixtures which are solid sand-cast bronze which is the most corrosion-resistant metal used to make landscape lighting fixtures. They add elegance to any space on top of providing light to highlight walkways, steps, and landscaping features of your property.

Fall is a great time of year to plant trees and shrubs in the Louisville area. The major heat of summer is gone, but the soil temperatures are still warm. This gives two benefits to your newly planted tree or shrub - cooler weather is easier on new plant installation while the warm soil still encourages strong root growth.
