Major Landscape Clean-up and Trimming in Highview, KY

October 19, 2025

At WLS, we believe every home deserves to shine and the landscape is an integral part of showcasing your home's natural beauty. Recently, we worked on a property for our long-time customer in Highview, KY where the front shrubs and trees had become overgrown and were hiding the home’s features.

The challenge for this particular property included overgrown shrubs blocking walkways and windows, extra foliage crowding the foundation beds, and a general need for reshaping and refreshing the landscape.

Our solution was to carefully trim and shape the hedges and shrubs surrounding the home, clearing out excess growth to open up the entryway, hauling away all the debris from the trimming, and cleaning up the landscape beds to prep for mulch. (Stay tuned for part 2!)

The Results:

The transformation speaks for itself — the property now looks fresh, inviting, and well cared for. Trimming and seasonal clean-ups like this not only enhance curb appeal but also promote healthy plant growth and reduce long-term maintenance issues.

Our customer in the Goose Creek area off of Westport Rd reached out to remodel her back yard area. She had a large area in her back yard where she wanted to install sod. Sod is a great solution for someone looking to have immediate grass coverage in their lawn. Sod is simply grass that has been grown, cut into strips, and rolled up. When we install sod, we can cut the roll into the exact area to fit the desired space - like our customer’s lawn area that was surrounded by gravel walkways and small planter gardens.

Our customer in the Glenmary area of Fern Creek reached out about issues from her downspout and the drainage behind her home. We extended the downspouts off the back of the house to carry the water further away from the structure and reduce the erosion of the lawn. Once the new drain lines were re-buried, we hand seeded the area before power seeding the back yard.
